Trulli of Alberobello, History and Legend

Nestled between the hills of Murgia and the Itria Valley, Alberobello was founded in 1635 when the Count of Conversano, Giangirolamo II Acquaviva d'Aragona, began urbanizing the area with dry-stone houses to avoid royal taxes. Despite his fearsome reputation, the Count laid the groundwork for the construction of the trulli. Alberobello became independent in 1797 and today is a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its over 1,000 trulli in the Rione Monti. Possibility to take the 'Alberobello Tour' by ape car or calessino with a driver and virtual audio tour provided by Segway and Rickshaw. Advance booking is recommended.

20 Minutes from the Adriatic

The Calette di Torre Cintola are a small corner of paradise, born from the remains of defensive towers connected to the Monopoli castle. The Second World War caused their destruction, leaving behind a few ruins that have transformed into enchanting natural pools. Here, architecture blends with the sea, creating a breathtaking landscape.

A few steps from the Apulian Aqueduct cycle path

A route of about 500 km that connects Caposele in Irpinia to Santa Maria di Leuca, accessible both by bicycle and on foot. It is the second longest cycle path on an aqueduct in Europe, a true tonic for mind and body. Numerous trails cross old sheep tracks and country roads, offering unique landscapes and scents that only the Itria Valley can provide. Bike ride or hiking? The choice is yours! Walking or biking along the cycle path is a magical adventure. Explore the hidden corners of the area and admire its timeless charm. Let our routes inspire you. Bike or e-bike rentals available from €20 per person. Advance booking is recommended.
